OH Hope Fund
When Rev William F. Oldham founded ACS in 1886, it was a school by day and boarding place by night for students who needed education and lodging facilities.
The OH Hope Fund is set up with the aim of helping Singaporean and permanent resident students and is established on the same principle as the foundation of ACS Oldham Hall itself.

Why OH Hope Fund?
The OH Hope Fund was setup to serve a need where local youths, of no fault of their own, do not have a safe, structured environment to live and study in. The fragmenting of families and unfortunate events that these youths experience cause many of them to end up on the wrong side of the law.
A real case example would be a 15-year-old girl whose mother had passed away, and terminally ill father was cared for in a nursing home, leaving her alone. The timely intervention of a kind Samaritan led her to stay in ACS Oldham Hall, providing support and pastoral care for this youth in a safe environment while she went through a very challenging and vulnerable period of her life.
With the facilities and capacity available in ACS Oldham Hall, we hope to give back to society by providing lodging and pastoral care to such youths, helping them grow up to be responsible and mature adults who can contribute to the society.
Students seeking to apply for the Hope Fund Scholarship should be:
Singaporean or Permanent Residence
11 - 17 years old as on 1 Jan in the year of application
Enrolled full time in a Singapore education institution
Have a referral agency, e.g. their school or social worker, who can attest to their situation
Assessed to not have a safe or stable home environment
Parent or parents must undertake to be co-operative and abide by ACS Oldham Hall’s rules ad regulations
Require financial assistance
The organisation making the referral of a student will be required to submit a social report and recommendation for admission into ACS Oldham Hall. The referring agency must remain the case manager and continue to provide professional intervention to the student and his/her family.
